About our
Herbal Retreats
On arrival at your home for the next few days you can relax and wind
down after your journey with light refreshments.
You will be staying in a tastefully recently converted barn in the
Dordogne with an outdoor swimming pool. (The pool may be closed from the
end of September).
On our herbal day we begin with a walk through the fields learning to
identify those herbs which can benefit and those best to avoid.
(Especially the spotty ones)!
After discovering a little about the benefits of herbs and of their
possible applications in our modern world, we will break for lunch.
In the afternoon we will make a salve or two! Maybe investigate
the lore of the folk in days gone by and how we owe it to them not to
lose the Art completely.

Your tutor is Andrew,
who will be available for you to explore any aspect of drawing and painting
you would like.
Andrew is a skilled draughtsman and painter who has taught at all levels and
ages, from absolute beginners to post graduate level.
You will be provided with materials, but if you prefer to bring along some
watercolours and brushes, please do.
The teaching will be fun but informative. Andrew will bring along some
examples of his work and that of students for you to see and be encouraged
by.
If photography is your thing, he can show you how to improve your picture
taking, and how to cheat by making paintings on your computer – provided for
the purpose. |
